Published: 27-01-2021

Agsafe would like to welcome the participation of Spraytec® and CropSure to the drumMUSTER agricultural and veterinary (AgVet) container recycling program.

By participating in our product stewardship program, Spraytec® and CropSure have demonstrated their commitment to the environment as well as sustainable farming practices.

Spraytec Australia started its Australian operations in Perth (WA) in 2019 and since then have been conducting trials, with independent companies and farmers, to show the effectiveness of their products in Western and South Australia.

“At Spraytec Australia, part of our vision is to supply the industry with high quality sustainable products. Being part of drumMUSTER makes it easy for our clients to contribute to making the agricultural industry more environmentally responsible and sustainable.” said Technical Sales Manager Marcelo del Barro.

CropSure General Manager, Richard Hooper said of joining the program “CropSure is very pleased to join the drumMUSTER program. CropSure have a commitment to environmentally sound, best practice container management. Growers will now have access to the drumMUSTER program when using CropSure products across Australia”.

Cropsure are one of 126 AgVet manufacturers to have joined drumMUSTER
Agsafe GM, Dominique Doyle

Agsafe’s General Manager Dominique Doyle welcomed Spraytec and Cropsure to the drumMUSTER program by saying, “It’s great to see commitment from these companies for sustainable farming practices.  This commitment, along with the 124 other participant companies, ensure that Australian farmers have a sustainable pathway for the responsible disposal of agvet containers and obsolete chemicals through the stewardship programs drumMUSTER and ChemClear.”

Over 36 million containers have been collected through the drumMUSTER program.

The drumMUSTER program has collected and recycled over 36 million AgVet containers since operations began in 1999. This equates to almost 41,000 tonnes of agricultural plastic waste that has been diverted from landfill or saved from being buried or burned on farms.

Always look for the drumMUSTER eligible container logo when purchasing your AgVet products. Remember, by purchasing products that participate in the drumMUSTER program you are ensured of having an environmentally friendly way to dispose of your empty AgVet containers across Australia.
